Instructor: Jenny Reeves
Argentium is an exciting new silver alloy that is tarnish resistant, a problem which has plagued traditional sterling silver. Argentium responds to jewelry processes the same as sterling, with some small exceptions, which can be used to advantage. Instruction covers the technology and techniques required to work with Argentium. Learn to fabricate and fuse simple and complex forms using granulation and fusing techniques to create earrings, bezels, a wire ring, and a band ring. Optional: Bring small stones and/or 18k or 22k gold and learn how to combine these materials with Argentium. Prerequisite: Fabrication 2 or experience. 24 hours
