Ancient Rings III

The history of jewelry traces the development of technology across cultures. Focusing in rings, this class covers ten classic designs from antiquity, which can be traced to the period between about 4000 B.C. and 1400 A.D. Each project incorporates ancient designs and ancient techniques such as soldering, granulation, repoussé, enameling, and fusing. Students work in fine silver and sterling silver. The use of 22k and 18k is optional. Students should plan on replicating four to seven ancient rings, depending on the complexity of their choices. Prerequisite: Fabrication 2 or experience.

Register Now - Apr 13 - Apr 17 class

Jean Stark will also teach Loop-in-Loop Chains.
