Learn the ancient Damascene (cloth overlay) technique of pressing gold into a rough metal surface. Check out Keum-boo, the Korean technique using heat and pressure to bond 24k to both steel and sterling silver. Try your hand at electroplating, the electrochemical process of applying gold over a metal surface selectively using a resist. This class combines lectures, demos and lots of time to experiment and create samples to take home. 24 hours
