The potential to use screws, threads, and bolts in jewelry is enormous, and enormously unexplored. This innovative class encourages you to think and design “outside the box” by incorporating screws in your work. Learn the right way to use a tap and die to cut threads in both screws and nuts. Instruction includes lectures, demos and supervised practice cutting threads. Participants will design and fabricate a piece of jewelry that can be assembled and disassembled with custom-made screws, including at least one stone! 24 hours
