Wax 1: Beginning

Wax is an ideal medium for making models that are used in both production and custom jewelry work. Wax can be carved, formed, machined, drilled, sawed or melted into a form. A wax model of a design may be presented to clients for approval, yet still allow for modifications prior to casting. In this class you will execute a series of graduated projects in a variety of waxes while learning design transfer, layout, build-up and carving. 24 hours
