Graduate Jeweler Diploma
The Graduate Jeweler (GJ) Program is for those who want a complete experience in jewelry. It is ideal for designers, entrepreneurs and those serious about a career with potential to grow in many areas. This program includes everything in the Jewelry Technician course plus 11 more classes (a total of 22 classes), providing a well-rounded foundation in jewelry.
Course work can be completed either by taking the Jewelry Technician Intensive followed by the additional required classes in the Open Session (545 hours, $12,028 tuition + $1,179 kit fees) or by taking all 22 classes individually during one or more Open Sessions (460 hours, $10,028 tuition + $1,129 kit fees). Upon completion, students receive a Graduate Jeweler
Diploma as well as preparation for certification as a JA Bench Jeweler (level 2).
A set of basic hand tools is available for student use with a $100 refundable deposit. Students will be required to purchase additional tools totaling approximately $950. For students who wish to puchase all of their own tools, we recommend a budget of least $1650. See the Graduate Jeweler Tool List for more details.
