Jewelry Technician Diploma
The Academy’s Jewelry Technician (JT) Program has been designed to give you all of the
essential skills to make jewelry. Whether you plan to seek employment, create your own jewelry, or just want professional-level training, this program is the right place to start. Graduates receive a Jewelry Technician Diploma and may prepare for certification as a Jewelers of America (JA) Bench Jeweler Technician (optional).
The Jewelry Technician Program can be completed two ways. You can take classes individually, at your own pace, during one or more Open Sessions. Or as an alternative, for those who want total immersion, the 8-week JT Intensive is ideal. Taken individually, tuition for classes (235 hours) is $4999 plus $700 in kit fees.
A set of basic hand tools is available for student use with a $100 refundable deposit. Students will be required to purchase additional tools totaling approximately $470. For students who wish to puchase all of their own tools, we recommend a budget of least $1000. See the JT Intensive Tool List for more details.
