Class Description
There is no disputing the importance of having high-quality images of your jewelry. As we all know, image quality is often more important than the piece itself. Whether you want to do your own photography or turn it over to a pro, you need to know the essentials: what to look for and what goes into making a great photo. Learn the basics of photography and how a camera works. Learn about lens physics and limitations, focus, depth of field, shutter speed, f-stop, white balance, and file types such as, RAW, JPEG, and TIFF. Instruction covers setup and lighting, backgrounds, multiple light sources, and how to build your own diffusion photo box from easy-to-find supplies. The workshop finishes with a demonstration of Photoshop®, including editing, cropping, file formats, saving files, and much more. Open to all levels.
