How to Hold Pliers
Pliers are best used by placing them in your hand and wrapping your index and middle fingers around the outside, leaving the ring finger and/or little finger on the inside.  Your index and middle fingers close the pliers, while your ring finger or little finger opens the pliers.  Except on very soft metals, always squeeze pliers tightly:  Loose jaws slip and mark your work.
