In this class experienced students learn to combine both traditional Japanese engraving and inlay techniques to create striking designs with line, color and texture. Bring a design of your own or learn to make a pendant with a design of the moon. Prerequisite: Zougan, Hori or previous experience. Naohiro will also teach Zougan - Japanese Inlay, April 14-18, and Hori - Japanese Inlay, April 21-25. |

| Naohiro Yamada is a master metalsmith who trained in traditional Japanese metal techniques including Zougan (inlay) and Hori (engraving). His sensei comes from a line of sword makers where historically this training was handed down only within the family, father to son. Yamada sensei is a graduate and former instructor of Hiko Mizuno Jewelry College in Tokyo, Japan. Today he has his own atelier where he teaches, mentors and creates beautiful jewelry. | ||||||||||||
