Masters Symposium 2008

Each spring, the Revere Academy holds a world-class series of workshops taught by master goldsmiths and other experts from around the globe. These highly-acclaimed artisans teach some of the most exciting jewelry techniques on the scene today; both traditional and cutting edge.

The annual Masters Symposium includes classes taught at all levels; from beginning to advanced. Workshops are generally either 5 days, Monday to Friday, or 2 days on the weekend. Classes meet from 9 am to 5 pm. Each Wednesday evening during the Symposium, we hold a public reception and lecture by visiting instructors.

This year, international Master, Naohiro Yamada, will return to Revere from Japan to share specialized Japanese metalworking techniques. He will teach a full week of both Japanese Engraving and Japanese Inlay in addition to an advanced class that combines both of these techniques. Plus, Felix Stüssi will travel from Switzerland to teach Clasps and Catches as well as Action Jewelry.
